How to Get a Transcript of a JW Broadcasting Program
JW Broadcasting's monthly programs, talks and news reports as timestamped transcripts you can read, search and download as TXT, SRT or VTT. Which link to paste, what it costs, and what you get.
Short answer
Paste the link to a JW Broadcasting video from JW.org into SubGrab. JW.org publishes subtitles with its monthly programs and most talks, so the transcript comes from them in seconds and costs 1 credit, whatever the length. An hour-long program costs the same as a short talk, and you can download it as TXT, SRT or VTT.
JW Broadcasting is the video channel on JW.org, the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. Its videos sit in four sections: Featured, Monthly Programs, Talks, and News and Announcements. SubGrab turns any one of them into a timestamped transcript.
What JW Broadcasting publishes
We checked every video in those sections on JW.org in October 2026:
| Section | Videos | With English subtitles | Median length |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly Programs | 68 | 68 | 63 minutes (53 to 127) |
| Talks | 109 | 96 | 16 minutes (6 to 33) |
| News and Announcements | 83 | 72 | 15 minutes (2 to 36) |
Every monthly program had subtitles, and so did most talks and news reports.
Which link to paste
Either of these works:
- The Share link. Under the video, choose Share and copy the link. It looks like
https://www.jw.org/finder?srcid=share&wtlocale=E&lank=pub-jwb-... - The address in your browser while you watch in JW.org's video library. It looks like
https://www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/mediaitems/StudioMonthlyPrograms/pub-jwb-...
Both name one video in one language, and the transcript is in that language.
What it costs
A video with subtitles is transcribed from them, for 1 credit whatever its length. So a monthly program is an hour of transcript for one credit, ready in seconds.
A video without subtitles in your language is offered as an AI transcription instead, at 1 credit per hour of audio, so a 16-minute talk costs 1 credit. The subtitle credit is returned first, and the AI price is shown before anything is charged.
What you get
The October 2026 monthly program came back as 1,008 timestamped lines, starting "Welcome to JW Broadcasting®." They are the same words as the subtitles under the player, each with its time.
- Read or print a whole program
- Search the transcript for a name or a scripture, then jump to that time in the video
- Quote a talk with the time it was said
- Load the SRT or VTT file into a video player or editor
- Ask for an AI summary, which splits an hour-long program into chapters with timestamps, takeaways and quotes. The first one is free.
What does not work
- A section page, such as the list of all monthly programs. Open one video and share that one.
- Sign-language versions. We found no subtitles on any of the 176 American Sign Language monthly programs and talks we checked, and signing has no spoken words, so there is nothing to transcribe. SubGrab says so and returns the credit.

Frequently asked
What does a JW Broadcasting transcript cost?
1 credit when the video has subtitles, whatever its length, and every new account starts with 2 free credits. A video without subtitles in your language is offered as an AI transcription at 1 credit per hour of audio, and the price is shown before anything is charged.
Can I get a monthly program's transcript in Spanish?
Yes. Open or share the program from the Spanish JW.org site and paste that link. The transcript comes from JW.org's Spanish subtitles, which every monthly program had when we checked in October 2026.
How long does it take?
A transcript from subtitles arrives in seconds, even for an hour-long program. An AI transcription of a video without subtitles usually takes about a minute.
